There is sometimes no greater stressor or experience that equals the impact of loss.  Loss is something everyone will eventually experience and everyone deals with loss in various ways.  It is something that happens often but is often something we deal with alone and is not so easily discussed or addressed in our communities. 

Treatment and assessment of grief can be a complex experience and entails various interventions along with assessment tools and addressing various factors about the individual experiencing the loss and the individual’s experiences and reactions to the current loss and previous challenges.  This assists in developing prognosis and a treatment plan tailored to that person’s needs.  This evaluation may be helpful both in clinical and legal arenas.
